Life after the tsunami

May 29, 2013 - Togura, Japan: A group of fishermen from Togura, recover nets at sea near the small village of Minami Sanriku in Miyagi prefecture. Togura, a small fishing village in Minami Sanriku, was vastly destroyed by the 2011 tsunami that hit the northeast coast of Japan. Thousands died and hundreds of families lost their houses, business and boats. The recovering community works now in a cooperative system where the few remaining boats, spared by the tsunami, are shared by all. (Paulo Nunes dos Santos)
